Annmarie Solo is a soulful songstress who blends heart and soul with ethereal inflections and evocative lyrics. What makes her different from most artists is her ability to convey an engaging sense of intimacy and compassion through an authentic and grounded voice. Annmarie’s debut album, Rising, is a collaboration with producer Alfonso Rodenas, who received a 2009 Grammy for Best Album (Los Tigres Del Norte). She recorded the title track for the 2009 feature film “Dark Moon Rising.” Her song ‘I Lose Gravity’ is featured in the independent film “Take,” starring Minnie Driver. Originally from Detroit, Annmarie now calls the mountains of Topanga Canyon home. Being profoundly affected by yoga and the magic of India’s abundant musical traditions, in 2008 Annmarie recorded a 3-song demo, Devotion.
