Manose’s Journey
Bansuri, a simple flute fashioned from bamboo, is the chosen instrument of the mythical Krishna; when it touches his lips, it unites all listeners in joyful love. As an eight-year-old boy, Manose, too, was seduced by the sound of the bansuri one night when an auspicious breeze wafted its song through his bedroom window. In the following years, his love and devotion for this instrument have made his name synonymous with bansuri.
Manose was initiated into the study of classical raga music by Guru Madan Dev Bhatta. Throughout the years, he has acquired technical mastery and an astonishing ability to improvise.
Manose has released five solo CDs and tours the world annually with renowned artists Deva Premal and Miten. Fans of kirtan music may also recognize his playing on releases by Snatam Kaur, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, MC Yogi and many more. After 25 years of spreading his Krishna energy to every corner of the globe, it is Manose’s ongoing pleasure to be Nepal's musical and peace ambassador to the world.
